This dynamic couple, who met a decade ago and share a rich history of service and travel, embarked on their dream of creating a family-centric haven when they took ownership in May 2023.

Both Will, a former Marine, and Raven, a member of the Army National Guard, have lived and served in diverse locales from Japan to Washington D.C. It was during these years, with their two young daughters in tow, that the concept of Shady Cliff Resort began to take shape. Inspired by their travels and the family-friendly tourist spots they visited, Will and Raven dreamed of creating a place that combines the joy of adventure with the comforts of home. They envisioned a retreat not just to escape the everyday but to enrich the lives of every guest.
